The event was chaired by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the PRC Wang Yi and conducted via videoconference.
In his speech, Mikhail Fradkov noted that Russia and China have good prospects of a joint work for establishment of the links between the Eurasian Economic Union and the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, as well as for development of the Russian-Chinese sectoral and interregional cooperation.
Continuing the topic of the environmental safety, the RISS Director underlined that maintenance of the balance between the economic growth, social development, and environmental protection is one of the main tasks under the challenging international political situation against the background of contradictory trends in the economic globalisation.
At the meeting, all participants spoke in favour of the need to unite the efforts of states to combat the pandemic caused by the coronavirus and ensure the post-crisis recovery of the economy and sustainable development in the Eurasian space.
The Forum's resolutions will become an important step towards agreeing the approaches of the parties to address important tasks to strengthen the cooperation and deepen the economic interaction in the new reality.
