RISS Strengthens its Cooperation with the Arkhangelsk Region

The Russian Institute for Strategic Studies is intensively developing its ties with the Arctic regions of the country

RISS Director Mikhail Fradkov held a meeting with the Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Aleksandr Tsybulsky at the end of January. The meeting attendees confirmed their mutual interest in cooperation on a wide range of issues, including the development of the Arctic territories, sociological research, creating a comfortable urban environment, as well as proper measures to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the Russian North. An agreement was reached to intensify cooperation between RISS and the administration of the Arkhangelsk Region and the expert and analytical community of the region at the meeting.

As part of the resolutions adopted, consultant to the Director Dmitry Bunevich visited the Arkhangelsk Region in early February and held meetings with the leadership of the regional administration, the Northern (Arctic) Federal University (NArFU), and leading regional policy institutes.
