The participants discussed British historian and archaeologist Ian Morris’ book Why the West Rules - for now: The Patterns of History, and What They Reveal about the Future.
Senior RISS expert D.Maltsev presented his analysis of the book.
During the discussion it was noted that it was important to study historical literature on geopolitics and the relevant issues of modern international relations. The Book Club plans to continue to discuss publications dealing with issues that arise at the intersection of political science, history, economics, and geography.
The next meeting of the club has been scheduled for June.
