On September 7th, RISS Director Mikhail Fradkov participated via video link in the 3rd BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution. The meeting took place in China and was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China with the support of China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges.
In his speech, M.E. Fradkov noted that the current state of international relations is marked by the growing economic power of Asian countries and other developing nations, and their greater influence on global and regional processes.
According to RISS Director, the current transformation of international cooperation is taking place in the light of a «new industrial revolution» followed by a massive introduction of information technology into production, large-scale automation of business processes, and widespread adoption of artificial intelligence. Today it is important to continue efforts to effectively integrate BRICS companies into global and regional supply chains and production activities despite the emerging challenges.
M.E. Fradkov stressed that the cooperation of the BRICS countries proves their readiness to jointly respond to new global challenges, promote economic growth, overcome economic crises and instability in the financial sector.
