The Russian Institute for Strategic Studies held a round table on the «Geopolitical aspects of interaction between the countries of the Baltic region today» on August 10th. RISS profile experts attended the event.
The participants discussed the geopolitical aspects of ensuring security in the Baltic region. They noted the increased role of external actors, primarily the USA, in fueling anti-Russian sentiment in the region. Particular attention was paid to the importance of studying the prospects for the transport and energy infrastructure development in the Baltic region, given Russia's interests.
