Center for Asia and the Middle East of RISS presents discussion paper

The trend in contemporary global geopolitics is to shift the political centre of gravity to the Asia-Pacific region, where the United States is making every effort to contain Russia and China, its main strategic competitors.

America’s strategy is to strengthen its military-technical cooperation with individual countries in the Asia-Pacific Region within the framework of trilateral formats and create new international structures under the auspices of the United States, as well as by intensifying its presence in existing structures.

Under such circumstances, Russia intends to intensify its political, economic and military-technical cooperation with its regional neighbours.
