There was a detailed opinion exchange on the complex issues of international and regional security and Russian-Israeli relations.
During the conversation, H. Koren noted that among the large number of topics relevant to our countries, there are several that can be the basis of long-term cooperation: agriculture, in particular, the use of Israeli technologies in Russian farming; regional security problems; scientific cooperation between the leading research centers of two countries.
Meeting participants discussed the situation in the Middle East and Syria, considered the possibility of regional cooperation between Russia and Israel in face of common challenges.
M. Fradkov stressed that in a complex and dynamic political environment the joint use of the scientific potential of our countries can contribute to the maintenance of dialogue of Russia and Israel on topical international issues, including the issue of achieving a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Center for Research Coordination I. Borovkov, Assistant Director A. Dudar, and First Secretary of the Embassy of Israel Daniella Grodski-Eckstein.
