RISS will cooperate with the leading analytical center in India – Observer Research Foundation

The meeting with the delegation of the Indian Observer Research Foundation (ORF) was held in RISS on October 7, 2015. ORF is one of the most authoritative analytical centers in India, as well as one of the top ten research institutions in Asia.

The main result of the meeting was the signing of the cooperation treaty between RISS Director and ORF Vice President. The agreement creates a long-term basis for opinion exchange, joint research conduct and scientific events organization. After the agreement signing was held the expert round table, where participants exchanged views on issues of foreign policy and economic priorities of Russia and India, the current state of bilateral cooperation and interstate cooperation, including in the context of BRICS and the SCO. Experts made suggestions on future directions for joint research, among which were highlighted such issues as the prospects for political and economic integration in Eurasia, cooperation in the sphere of high technologies, reform of international institutions, cooperation on climate change. Participants agreed to continue work in these areas on a permanent basis.
