Trump’s impeachment threatens the U.S. project "Ukraine"

Trump’s impeachment threatens the successful implementation of the U.S. project "Ukraine", RISS expert Sergey Mikhailov believes. K.Volker, U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations, M.Jovanovich, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, and W.Taylor, American diplomat, who testified in the impeachment inquiry into U.S. President D.Trump, resigned. It is unclear who will now be the leader of the "Ukraine" project," he said.

Ukrainian political elite doubts whether it should continue to cooperate further with the United States. RISS expert gave as an example a situation with former Ukrainian President P.Poroshenko. The United States didn't provide him with financial assistance from the IMF and conducted several information attacks against Poroshenko.

In expert's opinion, the current Ukrainian President V.Zelensky was also caught between two millstones of American politics. "Now the Ukrainian leadership is waiting for who will win the next U.S. presidential election. But both Democrats and Republicans will have reasons for not liking Zelensky because of Trump impeachment," he underscored.
