Biography: Mikhail Smolin was born on February 22, 1971. He is historian, PhD in Historical Sciences, a member of the Union of Writers of Russia. In 1996 he graduated from the Faculty of History of Saint Petersburg State University. From 1997 to 2009 he was working in various Moscow Media. Mikhail Smolin is the author of books: «Essays of the imperial way. Unknown Russian conservatives of 2nd half of XIX – 1st half of the XX century» М., 2002; «Secrets of the Russian Empire» М., 2003; «Encyclopedia of Russian imperial tradition of thought» М., 2005; «Russian way to the future» М., 2007; «Church, State and Revolution» M., 2013, and over 250 other publications.

Subject of dissertation: Public legal ideas of L. Tikhomirov

Areas of expertise: history of Russian conservative thought; religiology; historiosophy; history and legal basis of Russian statehood.
