Biography: Grigory Tishchenko was born on January 12, 1952. In 1975 he graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University. From 1975 to 1978 he has been working in NGO “Energia” (currently “S. P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation “Energia”). In 1979 he entered the graduate school of Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI), which he graduated in 1982 with a defense of a dissertation for the degree of PhD in Technical Sciences. He worked in the system of sectoral institutes. Since 1992 he has been engaging in scientific activity at the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies. Grigory Tishchenko defended his Doctoral dissertation in 2005 at Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO). He published two monographs: “Increase in economic efficiency of military construction in the USA” and “Creation of missile defense systems abroad and the security of Russia”. Grigory Tishchenko is the author of more than 150 studies, reports and publications. He is a co-author of 8 monographs. He participated in many international conferences.
