The meeting was attended by: Minister Counsellor, Deputy Chief of Mission’s Office Mr. G. Balasubramanian, Third Secretary of the Indian Embassy Mr. Vipin Kumar, Deputy Head of Centre for Asia and the Middle East B. Volkhonsky, Assistant Director for International Relations A. Dudar.
During the conversation, which was held in the atmosphere of mutual understanding, the parties noted that relations between Russia and India have a long history and has always been based on strategic partnership, cooperation and friendship.
Today bilateral cooperation is developing in various spheres: political dialogue, trading partnership, cooperation within international structures, intercultural exchange.
In 2017 India celebrates the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations with Russia. During the year, it is planned to hold several joint events covering various fields. Meeting participants stressed that Russian-Indian scientific cooperation had broad prospects, and interaction with think tanks played an important role.
